Support Cafe | Volunteer website for Neko no Kimochi Takeo

We built a volunteer support website for Neko no Kimochi Takeo, a cafe that backs cat rescue work in its local area.

We happened to visit in person, were moved by how calm and content the cats were, and offered to produce the site as volunteer work by Webharu.

Background

Neko no Kimochi Takeo runs as a support cafe that funds and sustains cat rescue activity in the region.

Connecting rescued cats with supporters and prospective adopters takes steady communication, but everything ran through Instagram and there was no website to organize and publish that information.

Approach

Webharu designed the site structure from the owner’s Instagram posts and the information available in the shop. We shaped clear paths for volunteers and prospective adopters, and separated the cat profiles, event announcements and ways to help.

The design puts warmth and transparency first, with a soft palette and a gentle layout. It is implemented on a Webflow template, and Webharu still updates and maintains it today (we respond whenever the owner gets in touch).

Scope of work

• Information architecture and design for the whole site
• Build and maintenance in Webflow
• Reflecting Instagram posts and managing updates
• Building out the support guide and rescued-cat profile pages

What we cared about

This was not commercial work. We took it on as a contribution to the community and to animal welfare.

There was only a limited amount of material to work with, so we built the pages around the cats’ faces and the owner’s own warm words.
Ease of updating came first, so the owner and local supporters can keep widening the activity on their own.

In closing

This site started from a single wish: that the work of saving small lives becomes something more people get to hear about.

Webharu will keep supporting the design and communication that carries the warmth of a place and its people.

Your site, the same way.

Start by telling us where things stand.

Production only, care only, or taking over care partway through: we handle all three.
