HaruCMS (HARU CMS) is a headless CMS from Japan, developed by Webharu Inc. It delivers posts and images over an API, so any site — Astro, Next.js or anything else — can use it. Its defining features are unlimited sites on a single contract (¥2,980/month, incl. tax), a design that never bills you or cuts you off on pageviews or data transfer, and AI support (MCP built in) that lets you run content operations from Claude or ChatGPT. It launched on 2026-08-11.

It is a type of CMS that separates the admin UI (where you write) from the presentation layer (your site) and delivers content over an API. Instead of the CMS rendering pages itself the way WordPress does, any front end — Astro, Next.js, plain static HTML — fetches the content and displays it. In fairness, three caveats: ① every vendor has a free plan, so starting at ¥0/month is possible with any service ② Kuroco is fully usage-based (with a free allowance worth ¥1,100/month) and sits on a different axis, so for small sites Kuroco can come out cheaper ③ looking beyond Japan there are services around $10/month, and free open source (running Strapi, Directus and the like on your own server) costs nothing in license fees.

The only human step is a single Google sign-in; after that, AI (Claude, ChatGPT and others) can create the site, write and publish posts, import images and configure a custom domain over MCP. Yes. The right is locked in by running a migration import or by starting a paid plan (eligible plans are Solo and Studio; registration stays open until 100 people have signed up or 2026-11-24, whichever comes first, and no advance registration is needed). If you migrate on the Free plan first, the right stays with you and half price is applied automatically when you start a paid plan.

You can. It gives you 1 site, unlimited posts, and commercial use is fine. The free plan serves the API on a shared domain (*.harucms.app), so for production sites we recommend Solo or above, which includes custom domain delivery.

Commercial use is fine on every plan. We welcome production agencies and freelancers building it into client sites and reselling it as their own monthly service. Because the price does not change as sites grow, your margin rises with every new project.

We provide importers for four formats: bulk Markdown, CSV, WordPress (standard export) and Newt (export JSON). They bring across images as well as post bodies.

A hosted MCP server is built in, so you can hand Claude, ChatGPT or another AI the endpoint URL and an API key and let it create posts, edit them, schedule publishing and import images. No npm install and no development environment are needed. Structured data for SEO and AI search (AIO) can also be set per post.

Posts themselves never disappear, on any plan. Revision history (the ability to roll back to an earlier version) is kept for 7 days on Free, 90 days on Solo, and indefinitely on Studio and Business (up to the latest 100 revisions per post). What expires after the retention period is only the ability to roll back; published posts are unaffected.

No. Monthly plans can be canceled at any time. You can export your data after canceling, too — we do not lock you in.
