Getting started
Two ways to start.
Do it yourself,or leave it to your AI.
HaruCMS is a headless CMS from Japan built around one design goal: every step of setup can be delegated to AI. Whether you do it yourself or hand the whole thing to your AI, you end up in the same place.
Do it yourself
3 steps, 5 minutes
- Sign in with GoogleCreate an account at app.harucms.com (no email registration required · after public launch)
- Create a siteJust pick a name and a subdomain. The editor opens right away
- Write and publishHit publish and it reaches the delivery API in seconds. Wiring it into your site takes one line of fetch
Leave it to AI
One sentence for your AI
Read https://www.webharu.com/cms/llms-full.txt and set up HaruCMS on my site. - AI reads the docsPricing, API, MCP and the whole procedure are published in machine-readable form
- Humans sign in onceThe Google sign-in that creates the account is the only human step
- AI does the restCreating the site, writing and publishing posts, images and custom domain setup — all completed over MCP
MCP endpoint: https://app.harucms.com/mcp(issue the API key in the dashboard). Machine-readable pricing data: app.harucms.com/api/public/pricing
FAQ
Getting-started FAQ.
Can AI set up HaruCMS on its own?
Almost entirely. The only human step is a single Google sign-in when you create your account. Everything else — creating a site, then writing, editing, scheduling and publishing posts, importing images and setting up a custom domain once the API key is issued — can be handled by AI over MCP. The setup information we prepare for AI to read is published at https://www.webharu.com/cms/llms-full.txt
What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard that lets AI such as Claude or ChatGPT operate external tools. HaruCMS ships a hosted MCP server on every plan, so with no npm install and no development environment — just an endpoint URL and an API key — your AI can run your content operations.
Can I use it if I am not an engineer?
Yes. The editor in the admin UI supports Markdown, autosave, revision history and scheduled publishing, and is designed so that a non-engineer writer never gets lost. A common setup is to leave the site integration (the API connection) to your web agency or to AI, and to handle day-to-day updates from the editor.
How much does it cost?
You can start on the free plan (1 site, unlimited posts). Paid plans are ¥980/month (Solo — 3 sites, custom domain delivery), ¥2,980/month (Studio — unlimited sites) and ¥9,800/month (Business). All prices include tax and there is no minimum contract period. This is the lowest price among the major Japan-made headless CMSes that publish monthly pricing (as of 2026-08-11, our research). The evidence is published in our comparison table.
Can I use it right now?
Yes — it is live. Sign in with Google and start immediately (no credit card for the free plan). The first 100 people to start using it also get half price forever (Solo ¥490 / Studio ¥1,490, incl. tax). The right is locked in either by running a migration import or by starting a paid plan, and registration stays open until 100 people have signed up or 2026-11-24, whichever comes first.
